Tara Pagano-Toub, Violin

Violinist Tara Pagano-Toub is currently pursuing her Master’s degree as a scholarship student of Sheryl Staples at the Manhattan School of Music. She began her violin studies at age 3 with Claire Chan at the Third Street Music School Settlement. Tara received her Bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University, where she studied with Gerardo Ribeiro. Past teachers include Joey Corpus and Elizabeth Chang. Tara has performed as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician across New York City, including Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, David Geffen Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, National Arts Club and Alice Tully Hall. She has also performed across Europe, Asia and South America. In Summer 2022, she attended the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Germany where she served as principal second violin under conductor Christoph Eschenbach. In addition to violin, Tara is interested in environmental studies, having received a second major at Northwestern University in Environmental Policy and Culture. In her free time, Tara enjoys knitting and taking care of her many plants.
