President's Weekend: Thursday, February 13 - Sunday, February 16, 2020

This is an opportunity for you, the amateur adult musician, to set aside a weekend to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of chamber music.

All program rehearsals and events will take place at:
The National Opera Center - 330 Seventh Ave. (between 28th and 29th St.)

All coachings and rehearsals are concentrated in four days, with the final coaching and concert occurring Sunday of Martin Luther King Weekend. This allows participants to maintain their regular weekday work schedule, and still be able to participate in an intense workshop playing chamber music with other enthusiastic adults. The CMC Adult Intensive includes over 6 hours of coaching with your main group, participant/faculty ensemble, four hands for pianists, faculty led discussions, masterclass, and a final concert by participating groups.

Groups are expertly formed based on each participant's level and experience. Music is sent out in advance. Each group will have a faculty coach playing with them, unless a pre-formed group is complete. Our faculty are highly qualified experienced chamber musicians who are as passionate about playing chamber music as they are about passing on their knowledge. There will also be time for socializing with wine and cheese receptions each night as well as a bagel and coffee brunch on the final morning.

(Appropriate level is ACMP A, B and C). Groups will be formed by level, and music will be sent out by December. You may request a specific work and we will try to accommodate your wishes.  Pre-formed groups are encouraged to apply.
